In my forty years of printing, no tool has become more valued nor served me better in assuring edge-to-edge razor-sharp images than the zig-align LED mirror-based precision enlarger alignment system. The LED module used in concert with its ingeniously designed companion ease-align and neg-align devices has made possible extraordinarily precise parallel alignment of my D-5 enlarger's three optically critical negative/lens/easel "planes" IN LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES WITH REMARKABLE EASE. At the start of a printing session, confirmation or touch-up of alignment REQUIRES LESS THAN A MINUTE!
I've had equally excellent results using zig-align on a friend's Beseler 4x5 enlargers.
I cannot imagine a serious printmaker, who strives for high quality prints, working without this state-of-the art, superbly effective tool.
