Systems for checking

Copying with a 4x5 view camera: March 2003

The newest zig-align product is now available - a plate requiring no camera disassembly for speedy checking of fillm/CCD standard to copy.

ZP2 and ZP4 are ring module (round mirror) systems; ZP1 and ZP3 are LED module systems.

ZP2, the system generally used, contains two mirrors on its plate: a 4" ring module outside the camera, and a 4" square mirror inside the camera. For photographers who already have a ZV1 or ZV1.1, the ZP2 plate is all they need.

In order to make alignment with zig-align remain the same as when a Better Light scan back is inserted in a non-rigid copy system (such as a view camera), the plate with its two mirrors (ZP2 or part of ZP4) is identical to Better Light in thickness, flatness, and weight and has almost the same fulcrum for weight distribution.

For information on the above, please see: Copy Work or View Cameras.

View camera copy: July 2002

There is a change in the 1/4" plain mirrors for ZV1 and ZV1.1. Two carefully placed holes now replace the former hook used for hanging a mirror. Now the mirror hangs straight up and down and is held securely by the cord.

With product advances come unavoidable price increases. The price list shows the new prices.

Upgrade option: If you own a ZV1 or ZV1.1 and want to upgrade your mirror(s), the small mirror in both systems is available at a special price of $25; the large mirror in ZV1.1 is $50.

Products for achieving

ease-align: 2001

All ease-aligns are now shipping with washers (with double-sided tape applied to one side of the washer) for placing under the adjustable feet of an ease-align. The washers restrain movement of an easel or copy board when making slight adjustments to the planeÕs swing and tilt.

The washers are 10mm in ID and 20mm in OD.
